Quantum dot filter displays are the next big thing

Nanosys, Using what they call quantum dot technology the company claims it can enable LCDs to display about 50% more color than they can today. The result is greener greens, bluer blues. Embedded in a sheet of plastic tiny phosphors convert blue light from a standard GaN LED into different wavelengths based upon their size. Read more on QDEF HERE.
