TIBURON, Calif—March 23, 2007—Who would have guessed the professional graphics market would be the growth story it is today? Jon Peddie Research (JPR) has completed market analyses of both the workstation and professional graphics markets for the fourth quarter and full year ’06 and finds that the professional graphics hardware market remains surprisingly strong. JPR reports that Q4’06 saw approximately 802,000 graphics hardware units sold, with add-in boards accounting for nearly $285 million in revenue (street value). TIBURON, Calif.—September 20, 2006—The string of good news continues for vendors serving the workstation markets, with the second quarter of 2006 yielding 22.9% growth in units and 15.9% for revenue. Jon Peddie Research has completed its quarterly market tabulations for both workstations and professional graphics as part of the latest installment of its Workstation Report series. TIBURON, CA—March 23, 2006—Q4 wasn’t a total bust for the graphics AIB market, but it certainly wasn’t anything to brag about either. Jon Peddie Research (JPR) today announced estimated add-in graphics board (AIB) and supplier market share for the fourth calendar quarter of 2006, reporting disappointing results. Graphics AIB vendors shipped approximately 21.1 million units in Q4’06, accounting for roughly $4.5 billion in revenue. Units were down 2.9% sequentially and down 5.7% year-to-year.  While volume was down a bit, ASPs and revenue were down more substantially.
