Graphics Add-in Board Shipments seasonally down just 2%

Normally, the first quarter of the year is down, and this year’s Q1 was no different, but the decline is less than the 10-year average. Q1 GPU Shipments Decline 0.8%

JPR has released the latest MarketWatch report that tracks quarterly GPU shipments. Shipments during the first quarter of 2012 behaved according to past years with regard to seasonality, declining from the previous quarter; however, this quarter’s decline (of 0.8%) was less than the ten-year average of 3.1%. TIBURON, CA-May 22, 2012 -Jon Peddie Research (JPR), the industry’s research and consulting firm for graphics and multimedia, announced estimated graphics chip shipments and suppliers’ market share for Q1’12. Autodesk reports 14% Q1 profit increase

Autodesk Inc. said Thursday that is first-quarter profit rose 14 percent as revenue rose sharply, it expects revenue in the current quarter to be between $580 million and $600 million. Autodesk expects full-year revenue to be up at least 10 percent from last year when revenue was $2.22 billion. That implies revenue of at least roughly $2.44 billion. Read more … Read more
