Mysterious Razed mods bring new vistas.

Grand Theft Auto V introduced advanced real-time ray tracing and an open platform for modding, allowing developers to enhance its visuals. One of the most well-known modders, Razed, created NaturalVision, a series of graphical overhaul mods aimed at improving the game’s realism. The first version, NaturalVision Remastered, launched in 2017, followed by NaturalVision Evolved, which entered early access in 2020 and continues to receive updates. Razed remains largely anonymous but is recognized for his work on lighting, reflections, and weather effects. Visual effects artist Denis Sitarski, known online as IceVip, has collaborated

Grand Theft Auto V is a stunning game with lots of twists and turns and even a few flips. It has always been a showcase for beautiful cars and interiors, but even something great can be improved.

And Razed did just that by introducing NaturalVision Evolved (NVE), a visual overhaul mod for the PC version of GTA 5. It significantly enhances the game’s graphics to look more realistic and visually impressive.

This video shows it off well, more than mere words could convey.

The early version of GTA had a comic book look to them, with good but not photo-accurate rendering of the cars. GTA 5is the breakaway version that brings all the benefits of real-time ray tracing and an open platform for modders.

One of best modders to take advantage of the open platform is Razed, a developer who gave the gaming community NaturalVision, a series of graphical overhaul mods for Grand Theft Auto V. The initial version, known as NaturalVision Remastered, was released in September 2017, aiming to enhance the game’s visuals to resemble Southern California more closely. Its successor, NaturalVision Evolved, introduced more advanced graphical improvements and entered early access in 2020. As of March 2025, NaturalVision Evolved continues to receive updates, with a notable release in February/March 2025.

Is it real (a photograph) or ray tracing? If you can’t tell, then it’s mission accomplished.
