The GeForce RTX 50 series features FP4 for powerful AI performance and up to three encoders with support for the 4:2:2 color format—plus, new AI tools enhance livestreaming, DLSS 4 boosts 3D rendering, and Nvidia NIM microservices and Blueprints supercharge AI on PCs.
Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs are designed to power the next era of generative and agentic AI content creation. Built on the Nvidia Blackwell architecture, these GPUs can run creative, generative AI models up to 2X faster and feature ninth-generation Nvidia encoders for advanced video editing and livestreaming.
The GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs come with several software updates, including:
• Two new AI-powered Nvidia Broadcast effects
• Updates to RTX Video and RTX Remix
• Nvidia NIM microservices, which provide prepackaged and optimized AI models to streamline content creation workflows on RTX AI PCs.
The GeForce RTX 50 series adds FP4 support, a lower quantization method that decreases model sizes, allowing for faster performance and lower memory usage. This enables creators to run complex AI models on more devices.
Nvidia is also introducing new AI-powered tools, including the Nvidia Blueprint for 3D-guided generative AI, which offers artists greater control over text-based image generation. Additionally, Stability AI’s Stable Point Aware 3D model will be available on RTX AI PCs, enabling real-time editing and object generation from a single image.
The GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs deliver professional-grade video capabilities, including support for the 4:2:2 pro-grade color format, multiview-HEVC (MV-HEVC) for 3D and virtual reality video, and the new AV1 Ultra High Quality mode.
Nvidia is collaborating with the following companies to integrate their respective technologies: Adobe (Premiere Pro), Blackmagic Design (DaVinci Resolve), Capcut (video editing tools), and Wondershare (Filmora). The company is also working with Streamlabs to create the Streamlabs Intelligent Streaming Assistant, an AI-powered tool that assists streamers with tasks such as answering questions and configuring streams.
